Man bailed following serious sexual assault in Ipswich |

A 19-year-old man arrested on suspicion of a serious sexual assault in Ipswich has been bailed.
It follows an incident which occurred at approximately 3:15am yesterday, Wednesday 28 January. A woman aged in her 20s reported that she was walking along Tavern Street when she was approached by a man who sexually assaulted her in an alleyway off Dial Lane.
She continues to be assisted by specialist officers.
A 19-year-old man was arrested that afternoon on suspicion of rape and taken to Martlesham Police Investigation Centre for questioning. He has subsequently been released on police bail pending further enquiries, to answer on 27 April.
